I had the opportunity to be the Zone Owner for the Checkpoint POI off the center of the map. This was a real fun one to work on as I had a lot of creative freedom to push the density of the jungle here and figure out how the alien infestation spreads throughout the zone. I owned all the organic terrain, the alien flower asset kit, the hard-surface modular parts making up the central platform as well as part of the top-side terrain of the platform.
Given that I was tackling this near the end of production and with memory budgets being very tight already, I had to be clever with how I approached new asset creation here. I kept new modular meshes as modular and cheap as possible, I re-skinned existing assets with new textures (e.g. ground flowers, small alien roots, etc.).

I had some help near the end from Eugene Kim and Richard Rude to help finalize the top-side terrain of the elevated platform (which was split into 3 parts). This was much appreciated help that was facilitated by my Lead, Jose Zavala, to prevent me from having to crunch to finish this zone.
