Witness Foggy California and its stunning depth! Reference California's range of urban and natural environments coated with a thick layer of fog. It's no wonder that films like Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 chose it as it's dystopian fog/smog covered backdrop.

The included photos are perfect reference to get started on a California-inspired project, whether for composition reference, set dressing ideas, foliage ideas, textures, photobashing, etc. It's certainly inspiring to me living here day in, day out.

Included in this ZIP file are 105 photos of various locations throughout Los Angeles and its nearby National Forests:

LA & National Forests:

  • Santa Monica
  • Point Dume
  • Malibu Canyons
  • Yosemite National Forest
  • Sequoia National Forest

All of these were taken on iPhone 6, 8 or 11 Pro between 2017 and 2021. Resolutions vary from 3264x2448 to 4032x2268 and higher with panoramas.
